Did it Come?
Did
snow come in the night
turning
everything quite
silent
and white
making
all things bright
and
beautiful?
No!
the rain came,
rattling
on the window pane,
hissing
along the roadway,
gurgling
down gutters
and
drains.
The
rain came!
